01

Discovery call

Every project starts with a simple conversation about you, your project, your goals and your situation. It’s also your chance to ask questions and get a feel for how we work, because a build is a close working relationship and both sides should feel like the right fit.

02

Pre-construction questionnaire

Before we meet, we send a detailed form covering your goals, budget expectations, timeframes, existing plans and what matters most to you. It means our first meeting is spent discussing solutions, not gathering information.

03

Onsite consultation

We meet onsite to review your ideas, walk the property, and talk through opportunities and challenges with advice drawn from experience. You’ll also receive our information pack and company lookbook.

04

Preliminary agreement

We invest significant time into planning and pre-construction, so a preliminary agreement creates certainty for both sides. Where possible we get involved early with architects and designers, which helps improve buildability and avoid costly changes later.

05

Detailed pricing & scope review

Once plans are finalised and council approvals are underway, we prepare a detailed estimate covering labour, materials, subcontractors, allowances and project-specific requirements. We review everything with you before the building contract is prepared.

06

Construction programme

Before work begins you receive a master programme outlining start dates, key milestones, critical decisions and expected handover dates, so you can plan confidently from day one.

07

Construction phase

Our focus is simple: build to the highest standard while keeping you informed every step of the way. Regular onsite meetings every one to two weeks, progress and budget updates, and design suggestions along the way. You’re always welcome onsite.

08

Budget & progress tracking

We track every project with professional construction management software, monitoring costs, forecasting ahead and flagging potential issues early. The goal is simple. No surprises.

09

Practical completion

As construction nears completion we walk the project in detail. Anything needing attention is photographed, documented and assigned to the relevant trade. Then we do a final walkthrough with you, using our quality control checklist, so nothing gets overlooked.

10

Handover & aftercare

You receive the keys, final project documentation, quality control sign-off and Code Compliance documentation once issued. A three-month defect period follows, and if something isn’t right, we come back and make it right.

The Oceanside EXPErience

Building a home should feel exciting, not uncertain.

Building a home should feel exciting, not uncertain.

You deserve clear communication, honest advice, quality workmanship, and a building experience that feels organised from start to finish. That’s why we back every project with The Oceanside Build Experience.

Budget

Detailed cost breakdowns before construction begins, live budget tracking and forecasting throughout the build, and transparent pricing on any variation, approved by you before we proceed. No hidden costs and no surprise invoices halfway through.

Timeline

Every project starts with a master programme of key milestones and handover dates. Regular onsite meetings track progress against it, and if delays occur you hear about them immediately, with the programme updated transparently.

Trust

You’re not just hiring a builder, you’re inviting a team into your home and daily life. Clients are welcome onsite, sites are kept clean and organised, and every home is treated with care and respect. The way a site is maintained reflects the standard of the work.

Quality

Every project is built to a high standard and completed against a full quality control checklist that we sign off together before handover. A three-month defect period follows, so you can live in the home and have anything needing attention resolved promptly.

Communication

Regular onsite meetings, ongoing budget and timeline updates, clear communication around decisions and variations, and direct access to our team throughout. We don’t disappear once construction starts.
